Anyone who has ever done a session with us (or interacted with us in person) knows that we keep it 100%. So much happens in our CWP studio sessions, weddings we shoot, and events we capture that we have wanted to share but never made the time to do so. That. Stops. Now! (Sidebar: It’s really Cedric who is liable to say absolutely anything in this blog. Lethia is much more reserved. Perhaps that’s why we make a such good couple….)
Thanks for signing on to read the CWP Blog. Our goal is to pull back the curtain a bit on what we do and how we do it. Although reading our words will not make you a great photographer, it may help you understand some of the nuances that happen behind the scenes of Cedric Wooten Photography.
So for those of you who don’t know, ours is a Husband and Wife team, Cedric and Lethia Wooten. We work incredibly hard to, ”Capture Moments That Matter” (and often sleep for 1-2 days afterward…) In between sessions, we are the parents of two little girls and a teenager (who thinks we’re rock stars because her school friends found us on Google :) We own and operate a T-shirt line, are each completing two books on unrelated subjects, are creating an online channel for our daughters, and…well that’s enough talking. Here’s a few lesser known facts about CWP (and Cedric Wooten, himself)
This Spring we will honor our CWP VIP’s (more about that later) at a special event.
Cedric actually began the business using a borrowed camera from a friend. He did this for about 2 years before being able to purchase his own equipment.
The first celebrity CWP ever captured was Gospel Singer, Pastor Donnie McClurkin. (That was an unforgettable and unbelievable session….). Since then we have captured other Kingdom notables including her Grace Bishop Jacqueline McCullough, Tye Tribbett and others.
CWP also offers “Romance Experience” Sessions. It’s an artistic session that captures intimate, timeless expressions of love that a couple can use to remind themselves of the passion they share.
Cedric is a former pole dancer. LOL! No, not really. Just checking to see if you were still here.
In future posts we plan to talk more about our sessions, our most fun clients, things that annoy us and much more…
Blog Soon,
Cedric & Lethia
